She was born September 21, 1935, to the late Earl Howard and Bertha Sellers Eaker.
Earlene was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherryville since 1942. She was a member of the June Medlin Sunday School Class and a member of the Vera Eaker Circle. She also sang in the choir for several years. Earlene worked with Carolina Freight Carriers in the Interline Department. Later, she worked with Bradington-Young, as well as working as an assistant with Washington Elementary School. Earlene was a genuinely selfless and very giving lady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Williams; and her brother, Donald Ray Eaker.
Survivors include her brother, Guy H. Eaker, Sr.; nieces and nephews, Guy H. Eaker, Jr, Carla Eaker, Donald Ray Eaker, Jr. (Tina), Guy H. Eaker III, and Caroline Eaker Perry (Darius); aunt, Shirley Sellers Gunn; as well as numerous cousins and other extended family.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 28, 2024, at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Zack Christy officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 2:45 PM, prior to the service at the church.
