Easter Bunny to visit Shelby City Park

The Easter Bunny is coming to town a little early this year as the Shelby City Park hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
"This is a fun family event that is a yearly tradition for a lot of area families," says David Fisher, assistant director of Shelby Parks & Recreation. "We encourage everyone to bring their camera to take photos with the Easter Bunny."
Egg hunts are scheduled throughout the day. Kids ages 2-4 will hunt in the ball field area beginning at 10:30 a.m. A separate hunt for special needs children will also take place at 10:30 a.m. in the ball field.
At 11 a.m., children ages 5-7 will hunt for eggs at Thompson Garden. Finally, at 11:30 a.m. 8-10-year olds will hunt in the ball field area.
Participating families are instructed to gather in the train parking lot, 850 W. Sumter St., Shelby, prior to the egg hunts.
In addition to the egg hunts and photos with the Easter Bunny, the Carrousel and train will be available for free rides from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Free face painting will also be available.
The rain date for the Easter Egg hunt is Sunday, April 14, 2019, from 2:30-4 p.m.
