Edna Ruth Lail Hensley, age 84, of Mooresboro, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Atrium Health Cleveland Hospital in Shelby, NC. She was the daughter to the late Lee Herbert and Eliza Ledford Lail and a native of Rutherford County. Edna was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Mooresboro, loved to garden, flowers and loved each and everyone of her grandchildren dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilber Ray Hensley, three brothers; Herbert Lail, Robert Lail and David Lail, one sister Betty Butler and one grand daughter Jenna Hollifield.

Edna is survived by her husband Bobby Hamrick, one son Rodney Hensley, three daughters; Jane Hensley-Crook (Brian), Catrina Hensley Hollifield and Teresa Hensley (Sara De), two brothers; Max Lail and Bill Lail, two sisters; Raye Bridges (Jerry) and Mary Lail (Jerry), step daughter Sonja Greene (David), six grandchildren; William Morgan (Maegan Zigarevich), Ian Crook, Savannah Hensley-Kellow, Abbie Hollifield, Forest Hensley-Kellow and Juniper Hensley.

The family will receive friends at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 6pm-8pm. The funeral service will be 3pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro, NC on Sunday, January 24, 2021 with Reverend Mike Frazier officiating. The family request that all visitors please wear masks and observe social distancing during the visitation hours and the funeral service.
