Edward David Huss

Lincolnton - Mr. Edward David Huss, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

David was born on September 10, 1941 in Spartanburg, SC a son of the late Vernon Carroll Huss and Leona Costner Huss. He worked in textiles for Firestone and Burlan in Gastonia and retired after 42 years of service. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Lincolnton and was a member of the Diamond Back Dancers. David was a family man above all. He was a beach lover, loved the outdoors and watching his grandchildren swim. He was also a golfer with Firestone.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Huss Walker and three brothers, Earnest Carroll Huss, Joe Dean Huss, Sr. and James Vernon "Buddy" Huss, Sr.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Sandra Neal Huss of the home; a son, Rev. Keith Huss and wife Donna of Cherryville; a daughter, Brenda Lee Lynch and husband Karl of Lincolnton; a brother, Clyde Lewis Huss of Anderson, SC; five grandchildren, Kasey Meliah Huss (Will) of Lawndale; Dustin Alvis Crowder (Kasi) of Vale; Nathan Keith Huss (Kayla) of Lattimore; James Earl Lynch (Jessica) of Lincolnton; Wesley David Lynch (Shelly) of Vale; Rev. Travis Mull (Heather) of Lawndale and Candace Marie Mull; 15 great grandchildren, Haydon, Brynlee, Conner, Abigail, Emma, Harlie, Kayden, Addy, Levi, Sydney, Kaisen, Nolan, Jamesyn, Aleiah and Baby L.

The family will receive friends from 9:45AM to 10:45AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Huss and Rev. Travis Mull officiating.

Burial will be private.
