Edwin Dale Hamrick
 Edwin Dale Hamrick, 70, of 1207 Spake Circle, Shelby, passed away Sunday,

August 19, 2012 at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.


Dale was born in Cleveland County on November 1, 1941 to the late Maynard

Hamrick and Madge Frances Dixon Hamrick. Dale lived in the bay area of

California for over 30 years where he retired as a foreman in heavy

construction. Mr. Hamrick had also served with distinction in the US Army

during the Vietnam Conflict, and was of the Baptist faith and a former

member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge.


In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Edith Hunt

Hamrick, and two brothers, Larry Hamrick and Charles Ray Hamrick.


He is survived by two sons, Eddie Phillips of Shelby and Don Phillips of

Waco, two brothers, Hershel Hamrick of Belmont, and Noris Hamrick of Shelby;

two sisters, Carolyn Greene and husband Bob of Shelby and Doris Dedmon and

husband Charles of Shelby, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.


Visitation, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston. At

other times, the family will be at the home of Doris & Charles Dedmon 1108

Rollingwood Dr. Shelby. Condolences may be made online at

Funeral Services, 11:00 AM, Wednesday,  Stamey Funeral Home Chapel,

Fallston.


Officiating, Rev. Jeremiah Richards.


Interment, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Fallston.
