Elizabeth Anne Cooper Coffey, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2023 at Carolina Care Center in Cherryville.

Born in Cleveland County on January 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Game Cooper and Vernon Greene Cooper. In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Lenord Coffey. Elizabeth was a longtime and faithful member of Eastside Baptist church where she sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School from a young age of 19. Her working career was highlighted by several years of employment as a legal secretary for local Lawyers and Law Firms of Shelby.

Elizabeth is survived by her two cousins Ken Gantt (Carole) and Renna Shook, as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family.

A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Friday, January 13, 2023 at Cleveland Memorial Park with Rev. Dale Byrd officiating the service. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
