Elizabeth Eugenia "Jene" Huntsinger went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2026, in Lincolnton, North Carolina.

Born on December 1, 1935, in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, Jene lived a life marked by faith, music, and deep devotion to her family. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church in Shelby and previously served as Minister of Music at Lavonia Baptist Church in Mooresboro, Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Shelby, and Southside Baptist Church in Gaffney, South Carolina. Through her love for singing, joyful spirit, bright smile, and warm heart, she touched countless lives.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family.

She is survived by her loving sons, Bryan Huntsinger (Lisa) and Mark Huntsinger (Rebecca); her grandchildren, BJ Huntsinger (Whitney), Sarah Huntsinger, Leila Huntsinger (Rodney) Jonathan Huntsinger, and Jaydon Huntsinger; her great-grandchildren, Calum Huntsinger, Lennox Huntsinger, Connor Haire, and Rodney Morrison III; and her sister, Vivian Dalmas Weaver.

Jene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Albert Nelson Huntsinger; her parents, Albert and Corine Hamrick; her brother, Marvin Hamrick; and her sisters, Alberta Petersen, Juanita Bandy, and Rose Goodman.

Her legacy of faith, music, love, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 13, 2026 in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in the family cemetery at 123 Corine Court, Shelby, NC. 28152
