Elizabeth Jean White Harris

Elizabeth Jean White Harris, 82, of 285 Love's Farm Road, passed away on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, at her home.

Born in Blacksburg, she was the daughter of the late Paul White and Alma Moss White. Mrs. Harris was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Harris is survived by one son, Dale Keith Smith; one daughter, Tona Carlton; two brothers, Steve Turner and Jerry White; four grandchildren, Christy Martin, Samantha Carlton, John Cabot Carlton, and Scottie Smith; four great-grandchildren, Jerilyn Twamley, Macie Brianne Twamley, John Wesley Martin, and Ella Smith.

She was preceded in death by her son, Wesley Eugene Smith; her granddaughter, Jeri Danielle Smith; her brother, David Barron Mitchell; and her sister, Delosis White.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 24th, 2021, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary, 400 West Cherokee Street, Blacksburg, South Carolina 29702. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25th, 2021 at 4:00 pm at St. John's United Methodist Church, 105 S. Rutherford St., Blacksburg, SC 29702 with Rev. Richard Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. Cabot Carlton, Andy Stanford, Wesley Martin, Joey Keller, Ron Evans, and James David Mitchell will serve a pallbearers.

The family will be at the residence at 285 Loves Farm Road, Blacksburg, SC.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 403 West Montgomery Street, Gaffney, SC 29341 or St. Johns's United Methodist Church, PO Box 703, Blacksburg, SC 29702.
