Elizabeth Pitchford McKee, 85, of New House Road, Shelby, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Brookdale Senior Living, Forest City.

Born in Rutherford County, on April 30, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Guy Watsie Pitchford and Bessie Morehead Pitchford. She was retired from Copland Industries and a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Ellenboro.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Plato Hugh McKee and brother Russell Pitchford.

She is survived by her sister, Donnis Pitchford; sister-in-law, Gerry Berry and husband Vern; and nephew, Robert Pitchford and wife Gina and two great nephews Troy and Jack Pitchford.

The family will hold a private service to honor Mrs. McKee.
