Elizabeth Venable, 84, of Union, New Jersey went on to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, in Shelby, North Carolina, where she enjoyed her later years of life. She was born May 30, 1941, in Chester, South Carolina to the late Jack and Willie Wilmore. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1948, where she grew up with her sister, Audrey Morton.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William Venable; daughter, Lerner Randell; siblings, Nellie Hardin, Hamp Wilmore, Annie Mae Frederick, Wade Wilmore, George Wilmore, and Bobby Wilmore; sister in law, Geneva Wilmore, and sister in law, Delia West and her husband, Lillton; brother in law, Alfred Venable and his wife Gin; brother in law, George Venable; brother in law Sammy Venable and his wife Neva; sister in law, Nannie Morton and her husband Joe.

Liz is survived by her beloved family, including her daughter, Pamela Wilson (Ralph), son, Darin Venable (Monique). She found joy in being a grandmother, leaving behind cherished memories with her grandchildren, Kashana Randell, Jarrett Randell, Deven Randell, Tawn Venable, and Cyrus Venable; her great-grandchildren, Jayden Randell, Josiah Randell, Deven Randell Jr., Zoe Randell, and Kataleya Aarons. She will be remembered by her sister, Audrey Morton; her best friend, Ms. Irene Sampson; her sisters in law, Jeanette Wilmore and Lilly Venable; special nieces, Bernadette Wilmore and Julie Mao; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A viewing was held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel.
