Mrs. Ellen Morehead Ruppe, 58, of Shelby, NC, went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2013, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Frank Glenn “Pete” Morehead, Sr. and Frances Terry Morehead.

Mrs. Ruppe was employed by Cleveland County School Food Services as Cafeteria Manager at Boiling Springs Elementary School.  She loved camping and enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.  Ellen especially loved her extended family at Boiling Springs Elementary School.  She was a member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir.

She is survived by her husband of forty years, Ronnie Ruppe of the home; a son, Robbie Ruppe & wife, Angie of Shelby; a daughter, Cindy Blanton & husband, Curtis of Mooresboro; three brothers, Butch Morehead & wife, Jill of Shelby, Rev. Buddy Morehead & wife, Meredith of Mooresboro and Mickey Morehead & wife, Betty of Shelby; grandchildren, Bradley Turner, Jessica Turner, Hannah Ruppe,  R. J. Ruppe and Pete Blanton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
