Eloise Stark Gallagher, 92, resident of Shelby, formerly of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 30, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living, Shelby. Born in Pitt County, she was the daughter of the late James Hobgood Stark and Lora Doster Stark. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years David L. Gallagher, Jr. and by a sister, Anne Stark. Eloise enjoyed playing bridge, was an active member in the garden club, an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and loved to cook. She was a long-time member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church before joining Central United Methodist Church and was a retired church secretary. Eloise loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them.

2 Grandchildren: Patrick Brogdon and wife Tiffany, Houston, TX;

Colleen Witherspoon and husband Chance, Kings Mtn., NC.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, May 3, 2017, 4:00 PM, Central United Methodist Church, Kings Mountain with Rev. Jill Rhinehart and Rev. Tony Dowdy officiating.

VISITATION: One hour prior to the service in the church CAC
