Elva Lunette Meade Cook
Elva Lunette Meade Cook, 80, of 302 Wes Cook Rd. in Casar, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center.
 
Born in Cleveland County on April 1, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Plato Verlon Meade and Monte Lou Richard Meade. She was a knitter in the hoisery mill and a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Casar.
 
Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Lester Carl Cook, three sons & two daughters-in-law, Dewey & Lynn Cook of Casar, Russell & Kathy Cook of Lawndale, and Lee Cook of Casar, daughter & son-in-law, Sue & Don Ross of Shelby, six brothers, Joe Meade of Hickory, John Meade and Dale Meade of Connelly Springs, Gene Meade, Bill Meade, & Keith Meade all of Casar, four sisters, Lorene Stringfellow of Shelby, Edith Walker and Linda Hull of Casar, and Joyce Benton of Lawndale, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
 
Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m.  at Stamey Funeral Home in Fallston.  At other times the family will be at the home of Russell and Kathy Cook, 1156 Carpenters Grove Church Road, Lawndale.
 
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Stamey Funeral Home Chapel

Burial: St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery
