Erma Rebecca Greene Chapman, 82, of Casar, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Carolinas Healthcare Systems - Blue Ridge , Morganton .

Born in Cleveland County, on March 11, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Odus Greene and Mattie Sue Elliott Greene. She was retired from Hickory Mfg. and was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Hildebran. She loved her family, her beloved dog Sugar and she prayed for her family and friends daily.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Pendergrass.

Survivors include one son, David L. Chapman of the home; one sister, Charlotte Greene of Asheville; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren and niece and caregiver Cathy Elkins of Casar.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Homer Tessneer officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Rose Hill Memorial Park.
