Esmer Lee McBee Arrowood, age 88, of Mooresboro, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation and Living Center in Rutherfordton.

She was the daughter to the late Howard and Ethel Whisnant McBee and a native of Clover, SC. Esmer was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, she loved to garden and spend time with her grandchildren, but most of all she will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Max Sherman Arrowood, two brothers Clyde and Junior McBee, one grandson Jonathan Colby Arrowood and one step grandson Shannon Guffey.

She is survived by three sons; Jackie Lee Arrowood, Steven Max Arrowood and Sherman Max Arrowood, three sisters; Elizabeth McBee Nodine, Mildred Hamrick (Langdon) and Betty Smith (Gene), two grandsons, Matthew Arrowood and Stacy Arrowood (Tanya), five great grandchildren; Prezley Arrowood, Sydney Arrowood, Jacob Arrowood, Jackson Arrowood and Tara Arrowood and two step grandsons; Lance Guffey and Devin Wagner.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2pm-3pm in the sanctuary of Liberty Baptist Church in Ellenboro. The funeral service will follow at 3pm with Reverend Mack Tester and Reverend Owen Duncan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Masks and social distancing are recommended.
