Eunice Fay Faries Philbeck, 81, of Shelby, passed away on February 14, 2024, at White Oak Manor in Shelby, NC.
Born in Gaston County, NC on July 7, 1942, she was the daughter of Lewis Faries and Evelyn Quinn Faries Roberts.

After graduating from Belmont Abbey, Eunice worked with Gaston County Social Services. Eunice loved to sing and performed at various churches and private events in her community.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Philbeck, and her siblings, Francis Bland, Morris Farris, Bonnie Singleton, Nelda Rushing, Jack Farris, Rachel Finch, and Ann Blanchard.

Survivors include her children; Alex Philbeck of Ft. Mill, SC, Rocky Philbeck of Shelby, NC and Jennifer State and husband, Shawn of Peachtree City, GA; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Philbeck, Ava Philbeck, Alaina Cook, Sammy Philbeck, Carter Philbeck, Jacquelyn State, and Kiefer State, and two great-grandchildren, Cailyn Cook and Coltyn Poteat.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Fallston Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Wade Dellinger and Rev. Toby Leroy officiating.
