Eva Annielou Smith Oaks
Eva Annielou Smith Oaks, 56, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home. She was born to the late Walter and Nancy Greene Smith on March 4, 1960. She is also predeceased by three unborn children; two sisters, Judy Wall and Debra Koontz; one niece, Angela McAllister;
Eva leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 42 years, Richard Oaks of the home; one daughter, Nikki Oaks of the home; one son, Ricky Oaks (Carrie) of Lincolnton; two grandsons, Noah and Christian Oaks of Lincolnton; two nieces, Tammy Givens and Tracy Leroy; numerous great-nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Fellowship Independent Baptist Church of Shelby. She enjoyed playing games on a tablet, gospel and country music, watching documentary shows, Joyce Meyers and Charles Stanley programs. Most of all she loved her grandsons very much and she would say when the oldest would give her kisses "Noah has the best sugar in the world". She will truly be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Fellowship Independent Baptist Church, 150 Christopher Road, Shelby, NC. A burial will follow the service at the church.
