Evelyn Coleen Holland Hames, age 82 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at her home.

She was born October 26, 1939 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Melvin Holland and the late Pansey Watts Holland. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and raise her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters; Mary Collins, Sherry Dato and her husband Darryl, Annette Coblentz and Kanisha Goode, one son Billy Goode, one brother Paul Holland, sixteen grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Dean Hames and three children; Kathy Goode, Bobby Goode and Scott Goode.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022 in the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC with family speaker Kathi Lovelace Goode officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Cleveland County, NC at 951 Wendover Heights Dr. Shelby, NC 28150. Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside, NC is serving the family.
