Evelyn Marie Bishop, 101, passed away Monday, April11, 2022, at Cleveland Pines Nursing Facility.

Born in East Hiram, Maine on December 8, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. Hartford and Mildred R. Douglas. In addition to her parents, Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband(s), Earle R. Bunnell, together for 53 years and Robert D. Bishop. Also, preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Watkins, brother's, Douglas Hartford and Conrad Hartford.

She graduated high school at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine. Evelyn continued her education at the State Street Hospital in Portland, Maine where she trained to be a nurse, and worked as a private duty nurse for many years. She is a member of Corner Stone Chapter 193 OES, Portland, Maine. She retired after several years of employment from Central Maine Power Company as an executive secretary in 1983. She is a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, S. Lee Hollis of Shelby NC, granddaughter Kimberly A. Fusco and husband Richard of Merrimack, NH, a grandson, Peter A. Herring and wife, Tracey of Gorham, ME, four great-grandchildren, Allison Tamposi, Jennifer Fusco, Joseph Herring and Brittini Richards, two great great-grandchildren, and four nieces and three nephews.
