First Baptist Pack 101 Cub Scouts Pick Up Litter
On July 27th, members of Pack 101 Cub Scouts and their cub masters from First Baptist Church chose to spend their Saturday morning picking up litter in the center city area of uptown Shelby.
This center city area of Shelby accumulates a lot of litter tossed out by motorists or dropped by pedestrians. The Pack 101 Cub Scouts group collected over 125 pounds of litter and recyclables within a one mile area. These volunteers, by their service, showed a lot of love for their community.
Keep Shelby Beautiful knows that clean communities are not just nice to look at – they are economically vibrant places where people want to live, work, shop and play. Service to the community is the ultimate declaration of love for where you live and for the people you share it with. Volunteer service is an important way that anyone can contribute to improving the quality of life in the community.
Thank you Pack 101 Cub Scouts and cub masters from First Baptist Church for your service to help keep Shelby beautiful!
