First Day Of Kindergarten Breakfast at Jefferson Elementary

As a special welcome to the world of education, Jefferson Elementary School hosted their "Boo-Hoo! Woo-Hoo! Breakfast" the first day of school for parents and their kindergartners. Pictured above are some of the first timers with their parents, brothers and sisters who accompanied them. Some were teary-eyed and some were cheering as their new adventure began. There were donned with backpacks and name tags. The word "kindergarten" came from Germany where the program began. The term "kindergarten - children's garden" was first coined by Friedrich Frobel whose approach greatly influenced education around the world. Meanwhile, in Room 26 at Jefferson Elementary it was a joyous and exciting day. -M. A. Andrews
