Foothills Farmers' Market Opening Day is April 5th 2014
The Foothills Farmers' Market Grand Opening is this Saturday from 8 am to 12 noon in Uptown Shelby on South Washington Street located between the Earl Scruggs Center and the Cleveland County Arts Council. The market runs Saturdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Vendors will have local vegetables, fruits, herbs, meats, trout, eggs, baked goods, various arts & crafts, handmade jewelry, and natural bath and body products. Many items are seasonal, so new produce and new items come in every week. Throughout the year, the market will have events, live music,  activities for kids, and cooking demonstrations. The executive chef for the Charlotte Knights and BB&T stadium will perform chef demonstrations on the Opening Day.
The Kings Mountain Satellite Market opens April 12 on Railroad Avenue between 238 Cherokee Grill and the Joy Performance Theatre. The Kings Mountain market’s opening day is running in conjunction with the N.C. Science Festival, so the market will feature science-related activities.
