Forrest "Mark" Bridges, age 58, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland. Born May 7, 1959, he was the son of Forrest and Dorothy "Dot" Poston Bridges. Mark was a member of Waco Baptist Church. He and his father were formerly co-owners of Waco Steel and Fabrication. He especially loved all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-and sisters-in-law, and other family.

He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Sonya Bowen Bridges, and his father-in-law, Marshall Bowen.

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his mother-in-law, Dot Bowen; one brother, Scott Bridges, and wife Susie, of Shelby; his stepson, Brandon Adkins; a cherished friend, Reggie Brittain; his beloved dog, Striker; and many other loving relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at Capernium Cemetery in Waco with Dr. Harold Fite and the Rev. Dale Byrd officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Cleveland County Humane Society.
