Four area students who participated in American Legion Youth programs were recognized on Veterans Day. Chris Richardson of Crest High attended Boys State at Catawba College; Alexis Aldinger, Crest, winner of the High School Oratorical Contest at Post 82 and District level; Samantha Davis, 8th Grader Crest Middle, Girl's Softball Program; and Thomas Hicks, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, Boys State at Catawba College.
