Frances "Fran" B. Quinn, age 83, died Tuesday, April 12, 2019, at Fair Haven of Forest City.
Fran was born September 14, 1935 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Robert Glenn Blanton and Addie Mae Hutchins Blanton. She was a graduate of Harris High School, class of 1953. Fran also attended Isothermal Community College and proudly received her LPN certification in 1976. She worked at Rutherford Regional Medical Center twenty years before retirement. Fran was a longtime member of Caroleen Baptist Church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Fran was an avid sports fan and followed the Washington Redskins, Atlanta Braves and NC State Wolf Pack.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-eight years, Joseph Earl Quinn and a brother, Bob Blanton.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Rick Long (Jeannie) of Daytona Beach, Florida and Joe Quinn (Chris) of Rutherfordton; four grandchildren, Tammie Long, Jason Long, Abby Quinn and Samson Long. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Caroleen Baptist Church with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess and Reverend Allen Hall officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Harrelson Funeral Home.
