Frances Jacquline (Jackie) Hamrick Hammett

Frances Jacquline (Jackie) Hamrick Hammett died peacefully after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. Jackie entered her heavenly home on Saturday, May 7, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was a caring and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend.
Jackie was born on February 20, 1934 to the late Raymond and Eula Mae Hamrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Keith Hammett.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Jenny Hammett Scism and husband Steve and Joan Hammett Hubbard. She was privileged to have three grandchildren: two granddaughters, Ava Scism Bradley and husband Boone, and Keelie Scism Begley and husband Nate, one grandson, Landon Hubbard, as well as four great-grandchildren, Annalise & Bo Bradley and Chandler & Brenn Begley. Jackie was blessed to have five younger sisters, Deanie McCraw and husband Bobby, Shirley Potter, Nancy Brown, Judy Mayfield and husband Roger, and Barbara Putnam and husband Boyd.
We are so thankful she had the opportunity to spend her first Mother's Day in Heaven with her own mother this past Sunday.
The service of celebration will be 6:30pm Tuesday, May 10th followed by a receiving of friends and dessert reception in the church dining hall. The service will be held at Camps Creek Baptist Church, where she was a faithful and active member until her illness no longer allowed her to attend. The service will be officiated by Reverend Buddy Morehead and Reverend Steve Durham.
Memorials may be made to Camps Creek Baptist Church, 2318 Camps Creek Church Rd., Mooresboro, NC 28114.
Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory is serving the family.
