Frances Jenkins Hamrick, age 95 of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

She was a native of Cleveland County and the daughter to the late Lawrence and Maggie Price Jenkins. Frances was the widow to the late Frank Elliott Hamrick Jr. and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mooresboro. She loved to grow roses and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to cook and was a faithful servant to the Lord who was known in her church as MawMaw. She was always ready to cook for anyone during a time of grief or illness. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Thelma Jenkins and Pauline Scruggs, one brother Jack Jenkins and one son in law Danny Splawn.

She is survived by three daughters; Elizabeth Roberts (Cisco), Margaret Edwards (Harland Jr.) and Lois Splawn, one son John Hamrick (Aletta), nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1pm to 2pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mooresboro. The funeral will be at 2pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Hamrick and Reverend Randall Cooper officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund at 1301 Mt. Pleasant Church Rd. Mooresboro, NC 28114.
