Frances Pauline Floyd Champion, 84, of Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Atrium Health - Cleveland, Shelby.

Born in Cleveland County on March 8, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Dixon Ezell Floyd and Daisy Elizabeth Crowder Floyd. She was retired from Cleveland County Schools and was a member of Westview Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Wilford Floyd and Dean Floyd.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, William Steve Champion; son, Scott Champion and wife Jaime of Winston-Salem; brother, Jim Floyd of Polkville; sisters, Mary Putnam of Belwood and Patricia Burke of Greenville, SC and one granddaughter, Chloe Glover.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 10:00 am at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
