Frances "Teen" Smart Barbee, age 95, passed away on February 5, 2021 at Brian Center-Hendersonsville.
Born in Stanley County on October 24, 1925 she was the daughter of the late George Bennett Smart and Mary Ethel Boone Smart. She worked for JP Stevens for many years and later worked for both Patterson's and Mull's greenhouses. Frances loved flowers, all flowers, and enjoyed spending her time in the yard tending to them when she was not playing Bingo.
In addition to her parents Frances was preceded in death by three sisters, Rodeth Bowers and Arlene Harwood, Sue Smart and by two brothers, George Smart and Bobby Dean Smart.
Frances is survived by her daughter Debbie Mitchell and husband David of Shelby who would like to thank Bill, Cathy and Amy Robertson, Dana Whiteside, and Helping Hands for their kind care and consideration.
