Francis "Bant" Hamrick, 93, passed away on January 16, 2024 at Peak Resources of Cherryville, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on September 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Claude Hamrick and the late Clara Cooper Hamrick. In addition to her parents, She is preceded in death by her son Darrell Hamrick, one great granddaughter, and many siblings.

Frances is survived by her sister Mary Sue Laughter, along with grandchildren Jonathon Hamrick and Sandy Camp, four great grandsons and one great granddaughter and special niece Sarah Bridges.

Frances was a homemaker and will be particularly remembered for her love of flowers, gardening, and taking care of her farm animals. Those who love her say that she never met a stranger and was gentle and kind hearted to all. Her family will fondly remember family gatherings at the creek at her home-place.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2024 at the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at New Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
