Frank W. Roberts, age 72, of Bridges Drive, Forest City, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.
Born May 31, 1945 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Thomas Roberts and Arrieta Lovin Roberts. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1965 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-70. He worked for Cone Mills for forty-one years. He enjoyed listening to music, playing with his dogs, sitting outside on the porch and going out to eat.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Susie Jenkins Roberts and one sister, Mildred Harris of Cliffside.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughter, Megan Roberts and husband, Jesse Eason of Concord, NC; two sisters, Lois Ann Walker and husband, Jerry of Caroleen and Carolyn Bailey of Shelby.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
