Franklin "Bill" Kirby

Franklin "Bill" Kirby, 83, formerly of Grover, NC, passed away on May 13, 2017 at Brian Center, Brevard, NC. Born in Spartanburg County, SC he was the son of the late Rufus Guy Kirby and Lillie Murray Kirby. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Ethel Barrett Kirby, his sister Becky Wall, his brothers Ivey, Alfred, and Fred "Worry" Kirby. Bill retired from FMC/Lithium Corporation. After his retirement he worked for Keeter Furniture in Grover and Winn Dixie in Kings Mountain. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Grover where he was affectionally known as the "Candy Man". Always candy at the ready for all the little ones.
