Fredia Flynn Penson, 77, of Forest City, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Willow Ridge. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lee and Carrie Dalton Flynn. She was retired from Crellin Plastics and was of the Baptist faith.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Donna F. Burgin of Chimney Rock; a brother, Thomas Marsh Flynn and wife Jan of Tucson, AZ; two nieces, one nephew, a number of cousins, and special friends Geneva Robertson and Diane Watkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother in law, John C. Burgin.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Daggerhart officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service in the sanctuary of the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chimney Rock Baptist Church Cemetery Trust Fund, PO Box 157, Lake Lure, NC 28746 or the charity of the donor's choice.
