Gary Lane Putnam, 72, of Lawndale passed away on April 23, 2025 at Atrium Health - Cleveland in Shelby, NC.

Gary was born on December 27, 1952 in Cleveland County to the late Spurgin and Maggie Lee Bridges Putnam. He was the owner and operator of Putnam Used Cars. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid car enthusiast.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his three brothers, Bobby Putnam, Billy Putnam, and Don Putnam.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda Ledford Putnam and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston
