Gary Wayne Butler, age 43, of Mooresboro, died Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Gary was born November 9, 1976 in Cleveland County. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and enjoyed watching NASCAR and shooting pool. Gary was a loving and kindhearted person who had a giving heart. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed the outdoors.

Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donnie and Ruth Butler and grandfather, Allen Gerald Walker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Sherry McCraw (Keith Miller) of Mooresboro; father, Wayne Butler (Bonita) of Ellenboro; companion, Sharon Shay Sibbett; two sons, Dakota Ryan Burton of Olathe, Kansas and Patrick Shane Burton of Bessemer City; two sisters, Bambi Alley (Chad) of Ellenboro and April Suttle (Robbie) of Forest City; brother, Jonathan Butler of Ellenboro; step-father, Danny McCraw of Cliffside; grandmother, Jessie Ann Gossett (Clevie) of Mooresboro; several nieces and nephews and his pet dog, Lily.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Michael Sepaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
