Gene Brandle, age 76, of Ellenboro, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at his residence.
Gene was born Thursday, February 21, 1946 in Rutherford County to the late Clyde Henry Brandle and Mary Melton Brandle. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Gene worked as a truck driver for Wise Foods for over thirty years and was of the Methodist faith. He loved working outdoors, feeding chickens, riding motorcycles and taking care of his dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Shannon Eugene Brandle.
Left to cherish fond memories are his wife of fifty-seven years, Sylvia Moore Brandle; grandchildren, Leslie Brandle Smith (Billy) of Ellenboro, Joey Brandle (Vicaria) of Forest City, Stephanie Smith of Rutherfordton, Brittany Conner and fifteen great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, December 2nd at the funeral home.
