Geneva Louise Whisnant McNeilly, 89, of Ellenboro, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at home.

Born in Cleveland County, on October 21, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Dwight Elwood Whisnant and Hannie Ola Blanton Whisnant. She was a homemaker and was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wayne McNeilly; two sons, Danny Wayne McNeilly and Dwight Steven McNeilly; one grandchild, Cevin Earley; three brothers, Howard Hopper, Gene Hopper and J.R. Hopper and one sister, Frances Webber.

Survivors include three daughters, Rheba Kaye Ward of Forest City, Carolyn Earley of Ellenboro and Lynda Hoyle of Ellenboro; eight grandchildren, Michaelle Waters (Scott), Paul McNeilly (Penny), Wade McNeilly ( Julie), Shannon Bradley (Bruce), Kelly Arrowood (Blake), Jennifer Powell (Paul), Dylan McNeilly and Steele McNeilly; eleven great grandchildren, Michael Waters (Grace), Airin Bradley, Samantha Keller (Braxton), Trent McNeilly, Jeri McNeilly, Tyler Greene, Taylor "Bug" Greene (Mary Grace), Tanner Greene, Madalyn Powell, Meredith Powell and Bentley McNeilly; three great great grandchildren, Charlotte Waters, Jaxon Greene and Josiah Greene.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Big Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall with the funeral service to follow in the sanctuary at 4:00PM with Revs. Paul Scott and Jim Richardson officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
