George Christian "Chris" Stanley, Jr., aged 57, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House.

Chris was born on February 29, 1968, a Leap Day baby, in Richmond, Virginia, to Virginia Carter Woodard and the late George Christian Stanley, Sr. Chris was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and true friend who brought laughter and warmth to every life he touched. Throughout his life, Chris was known for his determination and his ability to overcome every obstacle thrown his way, and there were many. He had a unique ability to fix almost anything, which served him well in his working life. Chris, "Bobo" dedicated many years to Fast Way Oil Change, where his expertise and work ethic were greatly valued. He also worked at Beaver Dam Auto Auction and a few other jobs at the same time. He had a beautiful blinding smile for anyone and everyone.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wives, Christy Stanley and Ann Stanley; son, Robert Anthony Woodard and his sister, Anna Marie Stanley. His Dad that raised him, Robert Lee Woodard and step-mother Cathy Stanley.

He is survived by his sweet mother Virginia "Honey" Woodard, his loving daughter, Jessie Stanley, and her fiancé, Brad Crews; his brother, Robert Giddens, niece Jordan; Sister Cathy Jordan, and her children. His loving fiancé Paula Reynolds and step-children he adored Jessica Hamrick and Jennifer Reynolds. A nephew and neice, Josh Mall and Becca Calderini. His heart; grandchildren, Tristan Woodard, Ky Hamrick, Jasper Mayes, Ava Reynolds, Luke Mathis-Jenkins, Polly and Silas Brown and many more. Chris was also survived by adopted children that he cherished; Clarissa Mathis-Jenkins, Dillon Norris, and Rachel Brown and their entire families. Finally, by his sweet Peachie girl, his chihuahua who lived in his lap.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.
