 George Stephen Hoyle, 62, of 117 Larsen Road, Lawndale, passed away
Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte in the
loving arms of Jesus while holding his wife's hand.
Steve was born August 21, 1954 in Cleveland County to the late George
Quinton Hoyle and Lou Ella Seagle Hoyle. He was a member of Casar United
Methodist Church. Steve was a former employee of JP Stevens and retired from
NC Department of Transportation. He was a member of Casar Masonic Lodge
579, Scottish Rite 32nd Degree and Oasis Shriners.
Survivors are his loving wife, Lynn Bettis Daves; sister, Debbie Morgan and
husband Brian of Casar; two special aunts, Grace Haynes and Irene Hoyle both
of Casar; four step-daughters, Tonya Sigmon (Kenny) of Lawndale, Linda Byrd
(Dale) of Shelby, Belinda Guy (Jonathon) of Clemmons and Reida D. Hudson
(Paul) of Shelby; eight step-grandchildren, Dillon Daves, Lydia Byrd, Hannah
Byrd, Caleb Byrd, Katelynn Guy, Michael Guy, Joshua Guy and Mattie Lynn
Hudson.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. At other times the family will be
at the home.
The funeral service will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at Oak Grove United
Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Nanney and Rev. Dale Byrd. He will be
placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
The burial will follow the service in the Casar United Methodist Church
Cemetery with masonic graveside rites.
