George T. Pasour, Sr., 90, of Shelby, passed away on March 5, 2018, at White Oak Manor, Shelby.
He was born January 30, 1928, in Lincoln County, son of the late Pearl and Harold Stroupe .
Mr. Pasour was formerly employed with Parkdale Mills and Burlington Mills in Gastonia.
A family gathering will be held 1-3pm Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Beulah Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 1354 Stony Point Road Shelby, NC.
Mr. Pasour is survived by wife, Sally Paysour; sons, Dean Paysour and wife, Faye, Jerry Paysour and wife, Virginia, Donald Paysour; sister, Joann Lutz and husband, John; sister-in-law, Lacy H. Stroupe; brother, Dennis Stroupe and wife, Vivian; ten grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren; twenty-four great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren; six stepchildren; seventeen step grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; five step great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son, George Paysour Jr.; sister, Diane Stroupe; brothers, Herman, Dean, Howard and Billy Ray Stroupe.
