Georgia Mae Foster

CHARLOTTE – Mrs. Georgia Mae Foster, 96, went to be with her Lord on Thurs. Nov. 1, 2012, surrounded by her family at the Levine-Dickson Hospice in Huntersville. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Alexander and Sarah Melton Melton.   Mrs. Foster was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister in Christ.   A woman of Faith, she was a long time member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Matthews, where she was known as a prayer warrior.  She helped spread the gospel around the world.  She was a faithful supporter of World Missions and gave generously to the support of children in third world countries.  She will be greatly missed by her family, and church family.  The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to the Levine-Dickson Hospice House and staff for the loving care they gave to their precious mother.

 

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Roscoe; and foster son, Ronald   Di Orio; three sisters; and two brothers.

 

SURVIVED: She is survived by her daughter, Janey Maxine Mode and husband Julian; grandson, Rodney Mode and wife Mitzi; two great grandsons, Justin Mode and wife Allison, and Jared Mode; great-great-grandson, Jaxson; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Rev. Lottie Burns, all of Charlotte.

 

SERVICES:  11am, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home

 

VISITATION:  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

 

CLERGY:  Rev. Bill Phipps

 

BURIAL:   Community Baptist Church Cemetery
