Geraldine "Gerri" Page

SHELBY: Geraldine "Gerri" Page, born on May 5, 1943, in Cleveland County, North Carolina, completed her earthly journey on October 14, 2025, in the same community she called home for her entire life. At the age of 82, Gerri leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth. A proud daughter of Burl William Page and Beatrice Fisher, both now deceased, Gerri was also preceded in death by her dear sister-in-law, Julia Page. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jennifer Lassiter, and her husband, Bart; her devoted son, James Black II; and her cherished grandchildren, John Michael Black, Ethan Lassiter, and Brayden Lassiter. Her brother, Roy "Tommy" Page, also survives her. After many dedicated years, Gerri retired from her career at Kemet, where she was known for her commitment and hard work. Beyond her professional achievements, her heart truly belonged to her family. She found immense joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her long-time pet, Soot. An avid reader, Gerri found solace and adventure in the pages of countless books. Gerri was a longtime and devoted member of New Bethel Church of Shelby, NC, where she shared her faith through song as a member of the choir. Her voice and presence will be dearly missed by her church community. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the funeral service on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Church of Shelby, NC.
