Casar, North Carolina - Geraldine Scott Deviney, 90, of Casar, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 29th, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1935, in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Joseph Scott and Sally Scott, Geraldine lived a life marked by boundless energy, deep relationships, and an unwavering commitment to her family. Geraldine worked many years at FASCO and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Edward Scott, Wesley Scott, and Buck Scott and four sisters, Valeria Winters, Josephine Moore, Frances Whitley and Linda Potter.

Geraldine is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Franklin Deviney; her children, Danny Franklin Deviney, wife Victoria, Ray Dean Deviney wife Trenna, Mitchell Scott Deviney wife Paula, and late Carl David Deviney. Her cherished grandchildren, Jonathon Franklin Deviney, Nathan Bentley Deviney, Dean Deviney wife Tori, Makayla Coley husband Austin, Andrea Deviney Lovelace husband John, Erika Deviney Scruggs husband Tyler, and Mia Deviney; 7 Great Grandchildren, Emma Deviney, Charlotte Ann Deviney, Savannah Scruggs, Evan Deviney, Easton Deviney, Reid Otto Deviney, Thomas Coley and a sister, Audrey Rose and husband, Charles.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, January 5, 2026 at Pisgah Baptist Church with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Pisgah Baptist Church Family Life Center.
