Shelby - Geretha Mae Walker, 87, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1933 to the late Oakley G. Holtsclaw and Ella Mae Allred Holtsclaw. Geretha was married to the late Alvin Kellon Walker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She lived her best life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Joe Cash; two sons David and Mark Walker; one brother Johnny Holtsclaw and one sister Della Moore.

She will be missed and is survived by two daughters Cathy Walker Hamilton and fiancé Jim Hardin Patricia Ann Toney and partner Terry Turner; one daughter-in-law Melinda Walker; two sisters Ethel Garver and Carolyn Greene and she will also be missed by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held 4:00 PM Monday July 27, 2020 at Gantts Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lane officiating the service.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Building Fund of Gants Grove 626 Gantts Grove Church Rd, Mooresboro, NC 28114
