Gilbert "Peewee" Hamrick, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away on June 5, 2021, at Atrium Health, Shelby. He was born January 30, 1941, in Gaston County to the late Wilburn and Mary Jane Cook Hamrick.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Shirley Owens Hamrick; sister Mona Scism; brothers Virgil, Kenneth, and William "Rick" Hamrick.

Peewee was the owner of Peewee's Service Line, a United States Army Veteran, and a member of the Kings Mountain American Legion Post #155.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Hamrick and wife Sandra of Kings Mountain, Scott Hamrick and wife Tonia of Little River, SC; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 7, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Peewee's funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Sisk- Butler Funeral & Cremations Services, Bessemer City with Pastor James Hamrick officiating.

Interment will follow at Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain with Military Honors.
