Gilda Ann Haynes Townsend, age 81, peacefully passed away, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Cleveland Pines of Shelby.

Gilda was a native to Shelby, she was born on December 27, 1942 to the late Warren Tillman Haynes & Addie Elizabeth Waters Haynes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Cregg Kiser.

Gilda is survived by sister, Silvia Wheelus, two nephews, Robby. Barr, Jr., Rodney Barr, as well as her niece, Angi McCoy. Also left to cherish her memory is her closest friend, Vickie Huntsinger.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM, Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Beulah Community Methodist Church with Rev. Van Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service and other times at the home Silvia Wheelus.
