Glenda Barnette Fredell

Glenda Barnette Fredell, 67, entered into her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late J.D. and Jeanette Barnette. Glenda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother (G-Mom) who loved her family and Jesus and used her life as a testimony of God's faithfulness and grace. She worked for The Printin' Press for 28 years. Glenda had natural talent for making things pretty, working on crafts, decorating and working on projects with her grandchildren and trips to the mountains and Oak Island. She enjoyed cooking, and teaching the grandchildren how to make "her special dishes and desserts", being with her family, and she would always find a way to help those in need and shared her love for Jesus throughout her life. Her smile and laughter was truly contagious and her love was always unconditional. She was truly one-of-a-kind who used her life to make a difference and teach others to live, laugh and love. Throughout her 67 years, she made an impact in so many lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Causby; Mary Ervin, Nadine Davis, and Joann Stephenson. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Coy Fredell; daughters, Jennifer Fredell-Saucier and husband Jesse, Tonyia Fredell Cannon and husband John; son, Billy Fredell and wife Gina; twin sister, Linda Newton and husband David; brother, Jackie Barnette and wife Patti, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of which she loved deeply. "A Celebration of Life" will be held at 4:00 P.M. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Patterson Grove Baptist Church, officiated by Stephen Brackeen. The family will receive friends 2:30 PM-4:00PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held at 9:30 A.M. Friday April 7, 2023 at Mountain Rest Cemetary, Kings Mountain.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County.

Funeral services are entrusted to Clay-Barnette Funeral Home & Aquamation Center.
