Glenda Maxine Daves Beaver, 77, of Shelby passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Wendover Hospice House, Shelby.

Glenda was born on March 16, 1948, in Cleveland County and was a daughter of the late Donell and Irene Richards Daves. She was retired from Fasco Industries and was a member of Polkville Baptist Church. Glenda enjoyed working with her daylilies and roses in her garden and scrap booking, but what brought her the most joy was spending time with her three grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Delores Bridges.

She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Jimmy Beaver; a son, Eric Beaver and wife Stacy of Hollis; a daughter, Cherie Sidhu and husband Surendra of Shelby; three grandchildren Amaysa Beaver and fiancé Garrett Ledford, Simran Sidhu and Sophia Sidhu; and two sisters, Verlene Suttles of Gastonia and Cynthia Watts of Lincolnton.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Crystal Bracebridge for the exceptional care provided to Glenda during her illness.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 1:30 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Scott officiating.
