Glenn "G.T." Wells, age 87, of Henrietta, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at his residence.
Born April 25, 1930 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Glenn Thomas Wells, Sr. and Margaret Lowery Wells. G.T. worked for Wells Body Shop most of his life and for Burlington Industries before retirement. He was a member of the Henrietta Revival Center and served the Lord as an Evangelist. G.T. also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a man of deep faith and love for his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Bobby Wells; a sister, Betty Mollahan; son-in-law, Ray Morrow and one grandson, Christopher Morrow and great-grandson, Christopher William McGuire.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Odessa Willis Wells; four daughters, Glenda McGuire and husband, John of Forest City, Shelia Wells Gerringer of Henrietta, Debbie Morrow of Harris and Gail Adair and husband, Mike of Forest City and one sister, Rueleen Wease of Henrietta. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Alan Adair, Terry Adair, Ronnie Adair, Tracy Blanton (Brad), Kelly Hargett (Jason), Crystal Burgess (Buddy), Sherri Morrow, Rebecca Morrow, Amy Greene (Ryan) and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Henrietta First Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Crain officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church.
