KINGS MOUNTAIN- Gregory Scott Cooke Sr "Cookie", 64, died Saturday January 19, 2019 at Atrium health Charlotte. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Espy and Patsy Payne Cooke. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather and cherished time with his family. He was a rare gem that never met a stranger and immediately connected with anyone he met. He loved to tinker around the house and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Wilson Cooke, of the home; son Gregory Scott Cooke, Jr. and wife Melinda; daughter Eltennia Peeler; brothers Gary Cooke and wife Christy, Wayne Cooke and wife Sherry and Tony Cooke; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, David and Kathy Bridges and Ricky and Sherry Owens; nephew Justin Bridges and niece Kayla Cook, all of Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday January 22, 2019 at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home of Kings Mountain.
